So, I know I haven't written anything in a really really long time..... However, I made a deal with someone that I would write another post before the end of Thanksgiving Break. Well, school starts again today, so I guess I kinda pushed it off to the last minute...
And, I really have nothing to talk about either because I have been to busy to sew or do anything creative. However, a while ago I did go to a fashion show and I have tons of photos. So, I guess make sure to come back any time soon and see the photos that I have yet to upload.
  Alright, have a nice day....

So it's been over a month....

Hello everyone,
So it's been over a month since I wrote anything, and I really don't have any excuses! But, since I didn't do anything creative in the past month or so I am just going to fill you all in with what has happened. Let's start at the beginning of where I last left off!
So, a couple weeks ago it was my mom's birthday and we went to a wonderful Turkish restaurant only twenty five minutes away! I actually can not remember the name of it but, still it was so yummy!

This was a Greek yogurt drink that I had ordered! I loved the cup, I wish I owned it!!

Probably the best calamari I had EVER tasted!

My main dish; an eggplant stuffed with a whole bunch of vegetables and yumminess! I am not a vegetarian but I didn't miss the meat at all!

After my mom's birthday it was my 16th birthday! I had a lovely surprise party from my parents! It was probably the best birthday party I have ever had!

This dress I got from my parents which I wore to the party! They got it from Express! Isn't it lovely?
After my birthday, the most stressful time of the year came along: show week! Not only was it the week before my schools production of Chicago in which I played Mona, (also known as "Lipshitz" in the Cell Block Tango) I had softball tryouts going on at the same time! So, though the play went off with out a hitch and now I am in full time softball mode, that was probably the most stressful week of my life!
This beautiful cake was put together by one of my good friends! She is probably a baking genius! If she doesn't become a famous baker one day, well, that's just not going to happen because she is fantastic!

So, yes my life has been a bit stressful lately, especially because I left out that March is the hardest month of the year when it comes to schoolwork, however it wasn't an excuse to not write!
    Comment below! Everything is appreciated!

Nails with the girls

Hello everyone!
Hope you are all having a wonderful winter vacation! Currently I am stuck in the middle of a snowstorm at a beautiful ski resort with a group of my girls! Though we can't go skiing because of the intense wind, we had to figure out something else to do. Thus, out of boredom, we ended up doing what all girls do; nails!! Here are the pictures:

The Felicia Skirt

Hello everyone,
I know it has been a week or two... however you should know that it wasn't on purpose! Though I haven't been posting, I have been sewing so, that's good! My latest skirt is called the Felicia skirt which is named after my really good friend! I think that I have already named something after her, but it might be named the Fefe dress which happens to be her nickname, so I don't think it's that big of a deal.
This skirt was created because one night I was picking out an outfit for the next day and I realized that I really needed a black skirt! At that time, I had a black skirt but, it didn't fit right and I never really liked wearing because of that. This skirt that I never wore had a thick elastic band going across the top; that's why I had it in the first place, so I decided to take off this band and put it on a different skirt. With this idea in mind, I ran down the stairs to the sewing room and searched through the shelves to find a black material, when I did, I quickly stitched it up and came up with this:

What I'm doing instead of cleaning...

Yes, I should be cleaning right now, but the InStyle magazine lying on my floor was to tempting, so of course I had to make an inspiration board!! Just saying, the J.Crew shoes this season are TO DIE FOR!!! Thanks InStyle for the inspiration!!

I guess it's time for me to get back to cleaning!! Comment please!

Oh goodness, it's been a while...

Hello everyone,
Well, I think that it is about time that I write a post. I know it's been about two months since I wrote anything, and any one who actually read this blog on a daily basis will probably have given up by this point, however I think that it's worth a shot to keep writing. So, without anything further, here is the main topic of my post: the Belinda skirt. I would just like to say that a lot of the fabrics I have been using have been based around autumn colors. I love the colors and I wanted to make some clothes that corresponded with each other, much like a fashion line. So, here is my latest creation:

Knit Headband DIY

Hello everyone,
I know it has been a while... I'm sorry! It's getting to that time of year when everything just seems to be happening at once! It is definitely getting difficult to keep up! I hope every one had a wonderful holiday! And, is getting ready for the rest of the holiday season! I just love the carols being played!
So, because there was snow a couple days ago, and up here in the mountains, we get SO MUCH SNOW! I decided to knit myself up a headband! I knitted ten stitches across then measured my head. I started just straight knitting, much like a skinny scarf! And, when I got to the point where I could wrap the knitting around my head, I casted off. After, I made a little bit skinnier scarf that was much shorter. After I casted off that one, I knitted three stitches across, and knitted a really skinny, tiny, piece. After I had all of the components, I sewed them together to create a bow!

 Hope you like it!

Thanksgiving pics!

Hello everyone,
I know I have already posted after Thanksgiving, however, I wanted to show you all some of the process of the food! Overall we had SO much food, that after I write this up, I will be enjoying some yummy leftovers!! So, I will make it quick!
My cousin and I were in charge of desserts! We made apple pie, pumpkin pie, cranberry sorbet, and vanilla bean ice cream! The sorbet and ice cream were made in an electric ice cream maker my brother bought me for my birthday last year! Thanks Buddy!!

It came out SOO yummy! Of course to every one else it tasted SUPER tart, but I LOVE cranberry's so, it was PERFECTION!

This was the recipe that my great, great grandma used for pie dough! It ends up making like 8 single crusts! SUPER YUMMY! Just, remember when making pie dough, you want to make the butter in to small pellets!!

And, with leftover pumpkin, it is super easy to make a lovely egg nog mix! Just add egg nog, allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves to the pumpkin and whisk thoroughly!

I had a wonderful holiday and I have SO much to be thankful for! I hope everyone else had a good time! Remember to comment, I want to hear about your thanksgiving and what you are thankful for! All comments are appreciated!!

Happy Thanksgiving... and Black Friday Plans!

Hello All,
I hope you all had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving! Mine was pretty spectacular, filled with family and good food! You can't ask for much more, right? Tomorrow, bright and shiny, early in the morning my cousin, grandma, and I are going to take a trip down to Joann Fabrics and get TONS of stuff! Super EXCITED! So, being the anxious kid I am, I decided that for me to buy fabric, I needed designs! So, my cousin and I pulled out some inspirations (seventeen magazine, Pinterest (check mine out: http://pinterest.com/mergestyle/) etc.) and drew up some designs! I colored in some colors, however, those are not what I am basing the design or my fabric buying off of! I merely drew in the colors so I knew what I was kind of looking for in boldness or softness, pastel, or neon and so I could show how different colors work with each other! So, the main point of this little ramble is that when I post pictures of what I actually create or buy, don't expect the same colors!
Also, I would like to apologize before hand about the quality of pictures.... I am sorry... I needed a new camera!!
So, this skirt I am planning on putting in an invisible zipper in the back... and I want the bow to be a bright color. Perhaps, a gold or silver, while the skirt be a basic or neutral color!

If you can't tell, this is supposed to be a high-low skirt! Also, I do want to find a polka dot material for this skirt, however I would rather find a smaller polka dot pattern!

These shorts are just me randomly drawing! However, the one at the top which is SO badly drawn is an idea I found where the lace would go on top of the jeans... so many things could be made of this idea! Thank you Pinterest!

This, well this dress incorporates what I have ALWAYS wanted to do which is a peter pan collar! Also, I really want to use a bold fabric on the actually dress!

This dress I am thinking would be very modern looking! Also, I would have to use non clingy materials (NO KNITS)

This is pretty self explanatory! Just a dress, I am going to use a cool stitch in the middle to create the gather!

This dress I am hoping I can make really poofy! That would just make my life wonderful! However, after I drew this I realized DO NOT MAKE IT ORANGE! IT LOOKS LIKE A PUMPKIN!!

My cousin told me to draw this one up! Basically, make a regular T-Shirt and add some bows to the back! If you haven't noticed... I LOVE bows!

Oh look... another bow! This design is difficult to explain... and I really don't think it would work! However, it basically just layers different variations of the same color on top of each other!
So, I hope you like what you see! Over the weekend I will post some of what I got and what I am going to do with it! Comment on what you think!! Hope you all had a wonderful Holiday!!

Newest Creation, the ALI DRESS!!

Hello Everyone, ( I posted this about a week ago, and I would just like to say that the skirt is now the Ali skirt!!)
I would just like to share with all of you my newest skirt I made! I haven't come up with a name  yet, but the second I do I will tell you!
So, I made this a while back, and unfortunately I don't have a picture of it on the mannequin, (I am too lazy to go take a picture) so you are just going to have to imagine what it would look like! For now I am just going to call it the Red Skirt!

I know it looks crooked, but that is just the angle! The buttons ARE centered!
